All students should be aware that they must earn a B‐ or better in each graduate course.
ASSIGNMENT OF ACADEMIC ADVISORUpon admission into the doctoral program, each student will be assigned an academic advisor. Program Director, as well as the Chair of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders,must also approve this course of study by signing the student's Advising Form (available for download on Canvas) after the initial advising meeting.
DEGREE REQUIREMENTS The specific coursework to be completed for research and tools of research, core content, and concentration/specialized study are determined individually to create a course of study appropriate to the student's desired specialization. without previous graduate study are required cot complete a minimum of 72 credits for the Ph. The nature and format of the proposal is determined by the student and prospective dissertation committee.3.
The core content normally consists of two advanced seminars (SPA 7802 and SPA 7807), Proseminar in CSD (SPA 7497), and Practicum in teaching (SPA 6505). Dissertation: The dissertation consists of a written research document describing a novel program of research and an oral defense.

Students that miss the deadline will not be approved to graduate and will need to defer to the next semester.² Students that meet the final submission deadline but do not receive approval of the ETD must complete the required revisions specified by the Office of Graduate Studies, resubmit the ETD and receive approval by the final clearance deadline.³ The final clearance deadline is not the last day to submit, but the last date by which the revised ETD must be approved by the Office of Graduate Studies.Save by submitting your ETD more than 2 weeks before the listed DEADLINE. ¹ The final approved thesis/dissertation and all required forms and surveys must be submitted by the listed deadline.Save by submitting your ETD more than 2 weeks before the listed DEADLINE.
